Project Description:

  • The overhead line will follow the new and rehabilitated railway system designed for train speeds up to 160 km/h. The new overhead line will be fully equipped with tensioning devices installed at specifi c distances and in stations and will be adapted to the new types of turnouts.

 

Main Works:

  • The overhead line will follow the new and rehabilitated railway system designed for train speeds up to 160 km/h. The new overhead line will be fully equipped with tensioning devices installed at specifi c distances and in stations and will be adapted to the new types of turnouts.

  • The works to the overhead line will be performed over a distance of
    77.95 km of electrified double-track railway and include:

 

Removal of the existing catenary:
• Removal of the overhead line;
• Removal of the existing support and fastening components;
• Removal of the existing poles and anchors;
– Designing the foundations for type H contact line poles;Installation of the new catenary:

Installation of the new catenary:
• Marking the position, placing and anchoring the type H overhead
line poles;
• Casting the foundations of poles;
• Fitting the poles and installation of the new catenary;
• Adjustments, measurements and commissioning;
• Design, installation and removal of temporary works required to
ensure continuity of electric traction power supply between the
existing systems and the new ones

The works for Protection of track and vicinity include:
• Removal of the existing protectionsystems;
• Permanently ensuring the continuity of the electric traction
power return circuit during the railway track works, as well as after
completion;
• Connecting to the power return circuit all the metal structures near
the overhead line, which can accidentally come in contact with live
elements;
• Protection of bridges and viaducts, overpasses and footbridges;
• Protection inside tunnels;
• Making equipotential connections;
• Protection to prevent voltage leaks from the electrifi ed railway
outside its area.
